Implant Based Breast Reconstruction

This is the simplest type of breast reconstruction. It produces a slightly less natural looking breast, but avoids the use of tissue from elsewhere and can be very good for bilateral cases.

Before & after gallery

A 40 yr old patient of David Floyd had a bilateral mastectomy and immediate reconstruction with implants and ADM. She had removal of expanders at 1 year and subsequent nipple tattooing. The second picture was taken at 2 years.

This 47 year old lady had bilateral mastectomy by a Breast surgeon and implant/ADM reconstruction by Mr Floyd in one operation. She then had nipple tattooing to complete the process. The second image was taken at 18 months.

This 35 year old lady required a left mastectomy but opted for a bilateral mastectomy as she carried the BRCA gene. She had reconstruction using expanders and ADM by Mr Floyd. She also required post-op radiotherapy on the left. She is now due to have nipple reconstructions.
